Abuja, July 27, 2024 – The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has sold $148 million to authorized dealers in the foreign exchange market to enhance liquidity in the market.
The apex bank disclosed this in a statement on Friday.
According to the statement, the transactions were conducted on July 22 and July 23, 2024 to provide stability in the market.
The statement, issued by Mrs. Hakama Sidi Ali, the Acting Director of the Corporate Communications Department at the CBN, said the foreign exchange was sold between N1470.00/US$1 and  N1510.00/US$1. Â
Alli promised that the apex bank would continue to address the supply gap to ensure market stability. (GBN)
