Abuja, July 16, 2024 – An Abuja High Court on Tuesday turned down an application by Godwin Emefiele, a former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), to travel to the United Kingdom for medical check-up.

Justice Hamza Muazu, in a ruling, said that Emefiele failed to supply sufficient evidence to justify the medical trip.

He also held that Emefiele failed to tender a copy of the invitation for medical attention in court.

The judge also said Emefiele failed to show that his ailment could not be attended to in Nigeria.
