Washington, July 3, 2024 – If Joe Biden were to withdraw to make way for another Democratic candidate in the race for the White House, only Michelle Obama could win more votes than Donald Trump.
With growing concerns about Joe Biden’s health, especially since his failed debate with Donald Trump on June 27, some Democrats are beginning to question his candidacy for the November presidential election.
A survey published by Ipsos on Tuesday, July 2, could help them see things more clearly.
According to the survey of 1,000 people, only Michelle Obama would fare better than Joe Biden against Donald Trump if the election were held today.
“The former First Lady of the United States would win 50% of the vote for herself against 39% for Trump.
“According to the survey, 3% of voters would choose another candidate and 4% would abstain.
“So, Michelle Obama would do much better than Joe Biden, who gets 40% of the vote, equal to Donald Trump.”
With four months to go before the election, no other tested Democratic candidate is doing better than Joe Biden: California Governor Gavin Newsom has 39% (versus 42% for Donald Trump), Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, 39% (versus 41% for Donald Trump), Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear, 36% (versus 40% for Donald Trump), and J.B. Pritzker, Illinois Governor, 34% (versus 40% for Donald Trump). (ANI)
