Benin, Jan. 11, 2023 – The Edo State Government says the number of abducted passengers at the Tom Ikimi/Ekehen station in Igueben on Saturday were 20 and not 32 as widely reported.
Chris Nehikhare, the Edo Commissioner for Communication and Orientation, said seven of the abductees had been rescued, leaving 13 victims still with the gunmen.
Nehikhare said security agents, vigilance members and hunters were on the heels of the gunmen.
He assured that all the victims would be rescued unhurt and without payment of ransom. (GBN)
