Abuja, May 30, 2024 -The federal government has invited the organised labour for further negotiations on the minimum wage on Friday.
A close source disclosed that the NSIWC chairman has written a letter to the labour unions extending the invitation to them.
“Of course, labour will attend. If they present a better offer on Friday, we will accept it,” the source said.
The  meeting adjourned indefinitely after talks between the federal government and labour broke down.
Labour had rejected the federal government’s latest offer of N60,000 and  insisted on N494,000 as the new minimum wage. (GBN)
