Abuja, April 5, 2024 – President Bola Tinubu has  commended Jim Obazee, the Special Investigator into the Affairs of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), for the dedication and professionalism he exhibited during the probe.Â
Obazee, a former Chief Executive Officer of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRC), was appointed the Special Investigator of the CBN and other related entities from July 28, 2023.
Tinubu gave the commendation on the conclusion of the assignment and the submission of a final comprehensive report of the investigation by the team
Ajuri Ngelale, the Presidential Spokesman, in a statement on Friday, said Tinubu commended Obazee for answering the call of duty while wishing him success in his future endeavours.
The submission of the report marked the conclusion and the winding up of all apparatuses used during the scope of the task which terminated on March 31, 2024.
The investigation has been formally closed as all appropriate law enforcement and regulatory agencies had already conducted follow-up actions. (GBN)
