Abuja, Jan. 15, 2024 – The Code of Conduct Bureau (CCB) has summond the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, over his alleged involvement in the N438m contract with the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.
Authoritative sources said the bureau is investigating a case of alleged breach of the Code of Conduct for Public Officers in which the name of the minister has featured prominently.
The CCB has, consequently, invited the minister for an interview scheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2024 at its headquarters in Abuja.
“This invitation is pursuant to the mandate and powers of the Bureau as enshrined in the Third Schedule, Part I, Paragraph 3 (e) to the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as amended. Please be properly guided,” the CCB said.
There are allegations that a company founded by the minister, New Planet Projects, has substantially benefitted from alleged contract scam in the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs.
The minister, has, however denied his involvement in the day-to- day running of the company, saying that he had resigned his directorship in the company. (GBN)
