Abuja, Jan. 12, 2024 – The Federal Government has approved N683.48 billion as its intervention fund for public tertiary institutions in the country in 2024.
Sonny Echono, the Executive Secretary of Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), disclosed this in Abuja on Friday at a meeting with heads of beneficiary institutions.
According to him, 90.75 per cent of the allocation is earmarked for direct disbursement, 8.94 per cent for some designated special projects and 2.27 per cent for emergency issues.
He said each university would get N1.9 billion, each polytechnic N1.165 billion, while each College of Education will get N1.398 billion. (GBN)
