Abuja, Dec. 30, 2023 – The National Assembly on Saturday passed N28.78 trillion budget for the Federal Government in 2024 fiscal year.
The two chambers passed conflicting figures which were later harmonised by their Appropriation Committees.
The budget estimates presented by President Tinubu was increased by N1.2 trillion from the N27.5 trillion.
The Assembly approved N1.74 trillion for statutory transfer, N8.77 trillion for recurrent expenditure and N9.99 trillion for capital expenditure.
A total of N8.27 trillion was set aside for debt servicing. (GBN)
