8 commissioners resign from Fubara’s government

Port Harcourt, Dec. 15, 2023 – The political crisis in Rivers State has deepened as two additional commissioners have resigned from Governor Siminilaye Fubara’s government.

The two commissioners are Commissioner for Housing, Dr. Gift Worlu, and Commissioner of Transportation, Jacobson B. Nbina.

The resignation of the two has brought the number of commissioners that resigned from Fubara’s cabinet to eight.

Those who resigned are said to be close associates of Nyesom Wike, the immediate past governor of the state, and the alleged mastermind of the political crisis in the state.

They are:

1. Prof. Zacchaeus Adangor, Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice,

2. Dr Des George-Kelly, Commissioner for Works

3. Emeka Woke,  Commissioner for Special Duties.

4. Mrs Inime Aguma, Commissioner for Social Welfare and Rehabilitation,

5. Isaac Kamalu, Commissioner for Finance,

6. Prof. Chinedu Mmom, Commissioner for Education,

7. Dr Gift Worlu, Commissioner for Housing,

8. Dr Jacobson Nbina, Commissioner for Transport. (GBN)
