29-year-old wins House of Reps election in Imo

Owerri, April 17, 2023 – Akarachi Amadi, a 29-year- old candidate of the APC has won the supplementary election for the Mbaitoli/Ikeduru Federal Constituency in Imo State.

The results of the election announced by Prof. Boniface Okoro, the Federal Constituency Returning Officer, indicated that Amadi scored 21, 372 votes to beat his closest rival, Uche Ogbuagu of the Labour Party, who scored 18, 296 votes

Henry Nwawuba, the incumbent and candidate of the APGA, scored 7,202 votes, while Usmond Ukanacho of the PDP scored 6,681 votes, Chinonso Uba of the ADC scored, 4,100 votes and Godstime Chukwubuikem of SDP scored 246 votes.

The results were announced at the collation center for that district located in Nworuibi in the Mbaitoli Local Government Area of Imo State. (GBN)
