Niger Delta youths stage protest at NNPCL hqrs, demand removal of Ojulari

Abuja, Aug. 27, 2025 – Some Niger Delta youths on Wednesday stormed the premises of Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) Towers in Abuja demanding the removal of Bayo Ojulari as the Chief Executive of the company over alleged corrupt practices.

The youths had besieged the premises of NNPCL as early as 6.00 am with placards of various inscriptions, also while chanting solidarity songs and dancing.

The protest forced the workers to park their cars outside the premises.

The protest also caused vehicular traffic around the premises before some policemen arrived the scene,

One of their leaders, who spoke on condition of anonymity, called for the resignation of Bashir Ojulari,  the Chief Executive of the Company over alleged corruption and mismanagement.

He also called for the appointment of an indigene of the Niger Delta region as the chief executive of the company.
