Adeniyi, Customs boss, extols collaboration with NACCIMA

Abuja, Aug. 25, 2025 – Adewale Adeniyi, the Comptroller-General of Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), has extolled the collaboration between the NCS and NACCIMA.

He said such collaboration would enhance trade facilitation, revenue generation and border management

Adiniyi expressed this while receiving Jani Ibrahim, the new National President of NACCIMA, who paid a courtesy visit in Abuja.

According to a statement issued by the NCS on Sunday, the Customs boss also commended NACCIMA for its endorsement of the NSC reforms.

“When I assumed office, one of the first things I was deliberate about was the issue of collaboration. Revenue and security are important, but to succeed in both, we must also strengthen trade facilitation.

“Today, I am pleased to inform you that we are fully on course with this collaboration.

“In that spirit, we will dedicate special desks for your members to resolve issues regarding the implementation of our processes,” CGC Adeniyi said.

Responding, Jani Ibrahim congratulated Adeniyi on his election as Chairperson of the World Customs Organisation Council.

He described his election as a well-deserved recognition of Nigeria’s growing leadership in customs administration.
