Maiduguri, June 25, 2025 – Bomb explosion killed four travellers and injured10 others in Komala village on Maiduguri–Damboa Road in Borno State on Wednesday.
ASP Nahum Daso, the Spokesman for the Borno State Police Command, confirmed the incident, saying the explosion occurred around 3.00pm when a Suzuki pick-up truck ran over an improvised explosive device on the road.
He said the victims had been taken to the State Hospital in Maiduguri for treatment.
“I confirm that the incident happened. Four persons died and 10 sustained various degrees of injuries.
“They have been taken to the State Specialist Hospital in Maiduguri,” he said.
This would be the second bomb explosion in the area in two months.
