Jos, April 27, 2023 – Ten persons were feared dead on Thursday afternoon when a petrol-laden tanker crashed and exploded at Bauch Road Junction in Jos.
The Plateau State Police Command has confirmed the incident and the number of casualties.
It said that a team of detectives had been deployed to the scene to determine the level of damages.
Bodies of unidentified victims had been evacuated and deposited at the Plateau Specialist Hospital, while the rescue operation lasted.
Some personnel of the Federal Road Safety Corps, motorists, pedestrians and business individuals who were around the junction were affected by the explosion.
The explosion also affected three other vehicles and two tricycles. (GBN)
