Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), on Friday promised to probe the N8.9 billion monthly salary bill in the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).

Wike, who was speaking with a group of journalists in his office on Friday, said he was shocked when he knew about the monthly salary bill of the FCTA.

He said with 38 thousand staff in FCTA, it was doubtful if that sum could add up.

The FCT minister, however, promised to conduct a staff audit to confirm the figure.

Wike said he would not contest against President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.

He said that nothing would make him contest against the president in 2027, after he had been made his minister.

The FCT Minister said his quest for justice was the reason he and the G5 group of supported the presidential ambition of Bola Tinubu in the 2023 election. (GBN)
