UK issues safety advisory to its citizens on current crises in Nigeria

Lagos, Feb. 17, 2023 – The United Kingdom (UK), through its Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO), has issued safety advisories to its citizens in Nigeria and those traveling to Nigeria due to the current crises.

In its updated advisories posted on its website, the UK FCDO, urged its citizens in Nigeria and those traveling into the country to take extra precautions around banks and Automated Teller Machines (ATMs) in the country as there has been a spike in criminal activities in those places.

The UK government also informed her citizens of the coming general elections in Nigeria, warning them of possible pockets of violence in some parts of the country. (GBN)
