Transcorp Hotels pledges to sustain high performance

Abuja, April 20, 2024 – Transcorp Hotels has pledged to sustain its high performance in future by focusing on its key growth drivers.

This, it said, would ensure that it continuously win in the ever-changing industry and economy.

Dupe Olusola, its Managing Director, made the pledge on Friday during the presentation of the company’s scorecard at its Analysts Conference.

During its 2023 financial year, Transcorp Hotels recorded N6.093 billion profit after tax against the N2.618 billion achieved in 2022, a 133 per cent growth.

It recorded a profit before tax of N9.482 billion in 2023, an improvement of 105 percent over the N4.634 billion realised in 2022.

The company made N29.785 billion gross profit last year against the N21.737 billion recorded in 2022.

Its revenue stood at N41.456 billion from the N30.439 billion realised in 2022.

The hotel won more than 10 local and international awards in 2023.

Some of these included the World Luxury Hotel Award 2023, Best Luxury Hotel in Nigeria 2023 and Best Luxury Business Hotel in Africa 2023.

In spite of these achievements, Olusola said the company would perform better in future through enhanced usage of its digital platform Aura which had been driving its bookings, guests’ engagements and revenue generation.

She also said the company would upgrade its technology to offer contactless services and personalised offerings to meet unique preferences of each visitor.

This, she said, would also ensure that “our services are not just cutting-edge, but also deeply personal,”

The chief executive said the Trancorps Hotels would be strategic in sourcing and operational efficiency which had been key to its cost optimization efforts.

“We are dedicated to managing expenses without compromising the quality that our guests have come to expect from us.”

Olusola said the company would also focus on eco-friendly initiatives, energy-saving measures, and sustainable sourcing, while continuously looking for ways to enhance the value and utility of its assets.

She promised that Transcorps was confident of maintaining its performance through 2024 and beyond as “we are committed to not only upholding, but elevating the exceptional guest experiences that set us apart.”   (GBN)
