Lagos, Feb. 5, 2024 – Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State says President Tinubu will flag-off the Red Line Rail project of the state in the last week of February.
Jubril Gawat, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor, said Sanwo-Olu said this during his visit to the headquarters of China Railway Rolling Stock Company in China.
He said Sanwo-Olu was at the company to conclude discussions with the top management on the purchase of new rolling stock for the Blue and Red rail lines.
The governor said his administration was committed to reducing the traffic congestion in Lagos which is the first ‘T’ in the THEMES+ Agenda of the state.
The governor said he was expecting the new rolling stock to arrive in December this year. (GBN)
