Lagos, June 1, 2023 – President Bola Tinubu is holding his first meeting with the head of security outfits after his inauguration on Monday.
The meeting is expected to review the security situation in the country in view of the fuel shortages around the country, insecurity precipitated by petrol subsidy removal and threats by the labour unions on likelihood of industrial crisis.
General Irabor, the Chief of Defence Staff, led the service chiefs and other heads of security agencies into the Presidential Villa, Abuja, for the meeting.
Those at the meeting include the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Farouk Yahaya; Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Awwal Gambo; and the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Isiaka Amao, the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba.
Others are the Director-General of the Department of State Service (DSS), Yusuf Bichi; the Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ahmed Rufai Abubakar.
The Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa, was at the villa on Wednesday. (GBN)
