Lagos, Feb. 22, 2024 – Mr Sunday Adeyemo, also Known as Sunday Igboho, the Yoruba nation agitator, has returned to Nigeria.
A statement posted on X, former Twitter, on Thursday by Olayomi Koiki, who claimed to be Igboho’s Spokesman, said Igbono had returned to the country for his late mother’s burial.
He wrote: “I can confirm that Chief Sunday Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho is currently on his way to Igboho Town for the final burial of his mother MRS S.A.ADEYEMO.
“The body of MRS S.A ADEYEMO was picked up from the mortuary in SAKI TOWN some few hours ago.”
Igboho left Nigeria for Benin Republic 2021 from where he attempted to travel to Germany after he was declared wanted by the Department of State Services (DSS).
He was arrested in Cotonu at the airport by security details in Benin Republic where he serviced some terms in prison. (GBN)
