Abuja, March 12, 2024 – The Senate has suspended Senator Abdul Ningi (PDP- Bauchi Central) over his allegation that the National Assembly padded the 2024 budget with about N3 trillion.
He was suspended at the plenary session on Tuesday.Â
Ningi had indicted the National Assembly for padding the 2024 budget during an interview on BBC Hausa last weekend.
Godswill Akpabio, the Senate President, said his allegation impinged on the image of the National Assembly. (GBN)
