Abuja, Aug. 1, 2023 – David Umahi, a former Governor of Ebonyi State and ministerial nominee, was on Tuesday screened and confirmed for appointment by the Senate.
He was called to the plenary and just asked to take a bow before the senators.
The Senate resumed screening the remaining 12 ministerial nominees at about 1:00 pm.
The practice of ‘Take a bow and Go’ was adopted for most of the nominees, especially former lawmakers.
Umahi will resign from the Senate as Deputy Majority Leader to take up the appointment as a minister. (GBN)
