Abuja, Feb. 5, 2022 – The Police Service Commission (PSC) has appointed three deputy inspectors general of police and promoted 1,043 senior police officers.
A statement issued on Sunday by the Head, Press and Public Relations of PSC, Ikechukwu Ani, said the PSC took the decision at its 18th plenary meeting in Abuja on Thursday and Friday.
It said that the PSC, however, suspended the promotion of eight commissioners of police and 11 deputy commissioners following their failure to appear before it for the mandatory promotion interview.
The statement said the PSC sent invitation to the affected officers, but they failed to honour the invitation. (GBN)
