Abuja, March 2, 2023 – Peter Obi, the Presidential Candidate of Labour Party, says he will challenge the outcome of Saturday’s election in court.
Obi told a press conference in Abuja on Thursday alleged that he was robbed of victory and would seek redress in court.
He described the election as a daylight robbery, saying he would use all legitimate means, including the courts, to reclaim this he mandate.
Obi said he had always relied on the judiciary to do justice.
He lost the presidential election conducted on Saturday to Bola Tinubu of APC.
Prof. Mahmoud Yakubu, INEC Chairman, who announced the election result on Wednesday morning, said Tinubu polled 8,794,726 votes to emerge victorious.
Atiku Abubakar of PDP scored 6,984,520 votes, while Peter Obi of Labour Party scored 6,101,533 votes to come second and third, respectively.
Rabiu Kwankwaso of NNPP came fourth with 1,496,687 votes. (GBN)
