Lagos, Feb. 22, 2024 – Lagos Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Thursday announced a 25 per cent rebate on fares for government-owned transport schemes.
He also directed that civil servants in the state from level 1-14 would henceforth go to work for three days a week as part of measures to ease the economic challenges.
The governor announced the measures during a live programme, ‘Sanwo Speaks’, to intimate residents on steps being taken to reduce the economic burden.
He, however, said workers in the teaching sector should maintain the five-day work week, but government will ensure additional transport support for them. (GBN)
