Salary increase: CONUA commends FG, asks for more

Abuja, Sept. 26, 2023 – The Congress of Nigerian University Academics (CONUA) has commended the Federal Government the recent increase in salaries of lecturers in tertiary institutions. Court stops Ondo Assembly from impeaching Dep. Gov

Abuja, Sept. 26, 2023 – A Federal High Court in Abuja on Tuesday stopped the Ondo State House of Assembly from impeaching the Ondo Deputy Governor, Mr. Lucky Aiyedatiwa, over alleged gross misconduct. Justice Emeka Nwite, gave the ruling shortly after Aiyedatiwa’s counsel, Kayode Adewusi, moved the ex-parte motion to the effect. The judge also restrained Gov. Mandela’s grand daughter dies of cancer

Johannesburg, Sept. 26, 2023 – Zoleka Mandela, a granddaughter of Nelson Mandela, former President of South Africa, is dead. She died of cancer on Monday evening at the age of 43. She was diagnosed of breast cancer at age of 32. Zoleka was outspoken about her cancer ailment and raised awareness about cancer prevention. She was also outspoken about her struggles with depression and her sexual abuse as a child. Oil prices fall as economic outlook outweighs tight supply

London, Sept. 26, 2023 – Oil prices fell on Tuesday as a stronger U.S. dollar compounded concerns that demand for fuel will be held back by major central banks holding interest rates higher for longer. FG has not reintroduced petrol subsidy – APC

FG to start cash transfer October
