Abuja, March 20, 2024 – Some members of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) on Wednesday disrupted activities at the National Secretariat of the Labour Party, demanding the sack of its National Chairman, Julius Abure.

The protesting unionists were, however, not allowed to enter the secretariat by the police men.

The union is protesting against the party’s plan to hold its national convention this month end without consulting key stakeholders.

It accused Abure of planning to hold a “secret” convention without the inputs of major stakeholders.

The union accused Abure of destroying the party.  (GBN)
