Nigeria’s inflation rate rises to 33.95%

Abuja, June 15, 2024 – Nigeria’s inflation rate has risen further to 33.95% in May from 33.69% in April 2024.

The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) gave the figures in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) report for May released on Saturday.

The report, however, indicated that  the month-on-month headline inflation rate stood at 2.14% in May 2024, a slight decrease from  the 2.29%.reported in the previous month.

 This represents a slower rate of price increase compared to the month of April 2024. (GBN)
