NGX losses N155bn in gloomy transactions

Lagos, April 5, 2024 -Transactions on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) closed on gloomy note on Friday as the All-Share Index lost 298.41 points to close at 103,437.67 from the 103,736.08 it closed on Thursday.

The market capitalization also lost N155.909 billion to close at N58.498 trillion, a 0.29% decline from the N58.653 trillion recorded on Thursday.

Friday’s losses were primarily due to poor performance of key stocks.

The top Gainers were CUTIX which appreciated by 10% to close at N3.19, Tantalisser which gained 8.57% to close at N0.38, CILeasing which gained 5.71% to close at N3.70, Dansugar which appreciated 5.36% to close at N59.00 and RTBriscoe which gained 5.36% to close at N0.59 per share.

The top price losers were CWG which lost 10% to close at N6.75, NSLTech which depreciated by 9.37% to close at N0.58, Omatech which lost 9.30% to close at N0.78, SCOA which depreciated by 8.90% to close at N2.15 and UPDC which shed 7.43% to close at N1.37 per share.  (GBN)
