Abuja, Aug. 28, 2024 – The federal government on Wednesday publicly presented its new policy in the power sector which Adebayo Adelabu, the Minister of Power, said would provide stable and inclusive power.
Speaking at the public presentation of the new policy in Abuja, the minister said the new policy would address all the critical challenges in the power sector.
He described the new policy as critical in the nation’s drive toward achieving a robust, sustainable, and inclusive power sector that will meet the aspirations of all Nigerians.
Adelabu said the new National Integrated Electricity Policy and Strategic Implementation Plan would set the nation on a path of robust, sustainable, and inclusive power sector
He said the policy is the product of extensive consultations with industry experts, key stakeholders, and development partners.
“The journey leading up to today has been a collaborative and rigorous process, driven by our collective commitment to addressing the pressing challenges within the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry,” the minister said.
He said the policy would not only responds to current realities, but also anticipate future needs to ensure the power sector remains resilient and efficient. (GBN)
