Abuja, March 7, 2024 – The two main trade union organistions in the country, the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), and the Trade Union Congress (TUC)Â have proposed different new minimum wages to the Tripartite Committee on National Minimum Wage.
While the NLC has proposed N709,000, the TUC, on the other hand, proposed N447, 000.
The two bodies made their presentations at the ongoing public hearing on minimum wage in Abuja on Thursday.
The unions said their figures were influenced by the current economic realities.
The committee is conducting public hearings in the six geopolitical zones in the country. (GBN)
