Abuja, Sept. 26, 2023 – The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress, (TUC) on Tuesday announced an indefinite strike to commence on October 3.
The two unions declared the strike after the separate meetings of their National Executive Councils (NEC) in Abuja on Tuesday.
The unions advised Nigerians to stock foods at home as the strike would shut down economic activities..
According to the communique issued by the two unions, the indefinite strike was due to insensitivity of federal government to the plight of Nigerians, particurlary after the removal of petrol subsidy.
