Kano, July 4, 2023 – The Kano State Fire Service saved 26 lives and N17 million worth of properties from 22 fire outbreaks recorded in June.
Saminu Abdullahi, its Public relations Officer, said this on Tuesday.
He said that nine persons died in the incidents, while properties worth N6.7 million were destroyed by fire during the month.
“The Service responded to 18 rescue calls and four false alarms from residents of the state,” he said.
The spokesman advised members of the public to handle fire with care and continue to clear their drainage to avoid unforeseen circumstances.
