Asaba, Feb. 27, 2023 – An INEC staff was killed by policemen, while some youth corps members were injured in Delta State on Saturday after the elections.
Udoh Tom, the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Delta, told journalists in Asaba on Monday that the policemen, at a checkpoint in Ukwuani Local Government, shot at the commercial bus conveying election materials.
Udoh Tom said the commercial bus was shot at after the driver refused to stop at the police checkpoint.
He said the injured youth corps members were receiving treatment at an undisclosed location. (GBN)
