Abuja, July 3, 2024 – Peter Obi, the Presidential Candidate of Labour Party in the 2023 elections, says Nigeria’s reputation may be at stake due to the omission of its name from the list of Harvard Business School class of 2025 programme on global immersion.
The programme teaches students leadership, teamwork, and cross-cultural understanding by immersing them in different continents, cultures, and other areas.
Sixteen countries are selected for the programme which included Kenya, Rwanda, Morocco and Ghana as the four African countries.
Obi said Nigeria’s reputation and attractiveness to international institutions and investors had recently been severely impacted by major obvious drawbacks.
Obi made the observation on Wednesday through his X handle.
He said the omission of Nigeria, despite the programme leader being a Nigerian professor, was particularly striking given the country’s potential and capabilities.
“Hopefully, Nigeria will take note of these shortcomings and strive to improve its reputation and attractiveness within today’s global community.
“That is the challenge of the new Nigeria that remains ever possible,” Obi said.
