Abuja, Sept. 26, 2024 -The federal government will begin paying the new minimum wage salaries from Thursday, Sept. 26.
Bawa Mokwa, the Spokesperson for the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation, disclosed this to journalists on Thursday.
He said federal government employees should expect to receive alerts of the new minimum wage salary from today.
Mokwa, however, did not indicate whether the minimum wage would be paid with the outstanding arrears.
“Federal Government civil servants will start getting the new minimum wage from today (Thursday) this September 2024.
“What I can tell you is that the minimum wage salary payment is today I am not sure of the arrears,” he said. (GBN)
