Enugu, May 6, 2023 – Godfrey Okoye University (GOU) in Enugu has offered a full scholarship to Lotanna Azuokeke, one of the best students in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME ).
Rev. Fr. Christian Anieke, its Vice-Chancellor announced this on Friday.
Anieke made the announcement during the presentation of a car to the first male student “Vice Chancellor For One Day” of GUO on Friday.
Azuokeke, a 15-year-old boy, who hails from Ọba in Idemmili South Local Government Area and student of Bishop Otubelu Juniorate in Trans Ekulu, Enugu, set a new record in the just-concluded JAMB examination by scoring 337 marks.
He scored 99 points in Mathematics, 86 in Physics, 88 in Chemistry and 64 in English to make a total of 337.
Anieke said: “The VC is offering this extraordinary student a full scholarship to study in our college of medicine and this is in line with my passion for education and desire to empower young people and make them extraordinary.”
