Abuja, Feb. 6, 2023 – The Supreme Court on Monday affirmed Senate President Ahmed Lawan as the Senatorial Candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) for Yobe North Senatorial Constituency.
In a majority judgment delivered on Monday, the apex court allowed the appeal filed by the APC against Bashir Machina’s candidature.
The apex court, had last Wednesday, fixed today, February 6, for final judgment on the issues.
The two contenders have been battle drawn over the nomination of Lawan as the party’s candidate without Lawan’s participation at the party’s primaries for the senatorial seat. (GBN)
