Gombe, Feb. 27, 2023 – Atiku Abubakar, the PDP Presidential Candidate, had been declared the winner of the presidential election in Gombe State by INEC.
Prof. Maimuna Waziri, the INEC Returning Officer in the state while announcing the result today, said Atiku polled 319,123 votes to beat the closest party, APC, with 146,97 votes.
The Labour Party LP party scored 26,160, while the NNPP polled 10,520 votes.
Waziri said the results were announced based on the total votes scored by each political party.
“The total number of valid votes was five hundred and ten thousand, and forty three (510,043), while the number of rejected votes is twenty three thousand, seven hundred and thirty five (23,735), the total number of votes cast is five hundred and thirty three thousand, seven hundred and seventy eight (533,778),” Waziri said.
