Yenagoa, Oct. 31, 2023- All is now set for Timipre Sylva, the Gubernatorial Candidate of the All Progresives Congress (APC) to contest the November 11 election.
The Court of Appeal in Abuja on Tuesday upheld his nomination as the APC Guberatorial Candidate in the election
It set aside the Oct. 9 judgment of Justice Donatus Okorowo of a Federal High Court, Abuja, which nullified Sylva’s nomination.
A three-member panel of the appellate court on Tuesday held that the Federal High Court in Abuja lacked the jurisdiction to hear the case filed by Demesuoyefa Kolomo.
The court held that Kolomo, who did not participate in the primary, lacked the locus standi to approach the court to challenge the nomination of the party’s candidate.
It awarded N1 million cost in favour of Sylva. (GBN)
