Ajaero Brutalisation: Labour threatens strike, demands redeployment of Imo CP

Abuja, Nov. 3, 2023 -The organised labour has given a five-day ultimatum for the redeployment of the Commissioner of Police in Imo State.

The ultimatum followed the Thursday’s alleged attack and brutalisation of the NLC President, Joe Ajaero, in Owerri, Imo State.

The ultimatun was given by the organized labour at a press conference in Abuja on Friday, Nov. 3, 2023.

The unions also demanded the prosecution of the Special Adviser to the Imo State governor, Hope Uzodimma, on Special Duties, the removal of the Police Area Commander as well as other police officials involved in the acts.

The unions threatened to embark on a nationwide industrial action if their demands were not carried out at the expiration of the ultimatum. (GBN)
