Agunloye remanded in Kuje Correctional Service

Abuja, Jan. 10, 2024 – Justice Donatus Okorowu of the Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered the remand of Olu Agunloye, a former Minister of Power and Steel, Olu Agunloye, in Kuje Correctional Service.

The EFCC had arraigned Agunloye over allegations of fraud in the Mambilla Power Project.

Agunloye pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against him by the EFCC on Wednesday.

The judge ordered his remand at facility pending when bail would be granted to him.

Agunloye,  who was the minister of power under President Olusegun Obasanjo, has been with the EFCC since December 2023 following his arrest over alleged mismanagement of funds in the Mambilla Power Project.  (GBN).
