Abuja, Oct. 13, 2025 – Olayemi Cardoso, the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), is leading the Nigerian delegation to the 2025 Annual Meetings of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington, D.C, from today, Monday, Oct.13, 2025.
The CBN governor, who is the Nigeria’s Alternate Governor at the World Bank, is representing Wale Edun, the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister for the Economy, who is indisposed.
Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, announced this in a statement on Sunday.
Other members of the delegation include Doris Uzoka-Anite, the Minister of State for Finance, and some senior government officials and representatives of financial institutions.
According to its programme, the meeting will feature the plenary, regional briefings, press conferences, and high-level fora on global economic trends, international development, and financial stability.
