Abuja, Aug. 28, 2025 – The Federal Government has approved lifetime salary benefits to retiring senior officers of the ministry of Interior.
This was disclosed on Thursday in a statement by DCF PO Abraham, the Head of Corporate Services of the Federal Fire Service.
The statement said the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, announced the gesture on Thursday during the 2025 Ministerial Retreat for officers.
According to the statement, the minister said the new policy, which had been endorsed by President Bola Tinubu, would be major boost to officer welfare,
“The minister expressed profound appreciation to President Tinubu for his unwavering support, affirming that all agencies under the Ministry of Interior are reaping the benefits of the Renewed Hope Agenda,” the statement said.
The statement said the minister reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening institutional performance and capacity across all agencies.
