Port Harcourt, March 18, 2025 – An explosion rocked the Trans Niger Pipeline in Bodo Community in Gonna Local Government Area of Rivers State on Monday night.
Thick smoke was seen billowing into the air amidst raging fire in the area on Tuesday morning.
No casualties have been reported.
The cause of the explosion has not been ascertained., but there are fears that it may be due to activities of hoodlums taking advantage of the current tense political situation in the state.
The police are yet to respond to press enquiries.
