2023 Election: Oyo has 2m votes in the kitty for Tinubu-Shettima – Folarin

Ibadan, Feb, 2, 2023 – Senator Teslim Folarin, the Coordinator of APC Presidential Campaign Council in Oyo State, says the council will deliver at least two million votes to Bola Tinubu, the party’s flag bearer, during the 2023 elections.

He said these would out of the 3.3 million votes that would be available in the state during the presidential election.

Folarin gave this assurance while speaking with members of Correspondents Chapel of the NUJ in Ibadan on Wednesday ahead of the APC Mega Presidential Rally in Ibadan on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2023.

Folarin said the candidacy of Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima had been well embraced by people in all the 33 local government areas of Oyo state.

Folarin, who is also the APC gubernatorial candidate in the state, said that his campaign activities, formal and informal meetings with various sets of people, community leaders, faith- based leaders, traditional leaders, youths and students had confirmed the popularity and acceptance of Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shetttima in Oyo State.

“Putting it modestly, Asiwaju and Kashim Shettima would win nothing less than two million votes in the election of February 25.

“Our people do not only love him; they are waiting anxiously for the day to come. We are already seeing Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as the President in waiting,” he said.

Folarin said that the presidential candidate and his entourage would, on arrival in Ibadan, first pay homage to the Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Mahood Lekan Balogun, at his palace and also visit some eminent leaders in the state.

The APC gubernatorial candidate in the state promised that the APC mega rally would be tasteful and groovy, while he also assured of maximum security and effective human and traffic control throughout the rally. (GBN)
